CHINESE NEW YEAR...



The Chinese New Year that is celebrated for about fifteen days is one moment in the year when the whole nation feels united as they can imagine each other enjoyment. The Chinese New Year gets determined by the Lunar calendar and therefore it is sometimes called the Lunar New Year. In 2008, the Chinese Lunar Year Festival would start from 7 th of February. As every one is aware of it significance, the working people in china can take weeks of holidays such as Yaowarat known to be the biggest Chinatown outside China,Yaowarat in the heart of Bangkok offers visitors a glimpse of the Chinese way of life.So that they can join the company of their near and dear ones and a feast with their family members on the Lunar New Year's Eve. Although with the changing times and increasing mobility of the people the celebration of Chinese New Year Festival has undergone some changes, everybody still very fervently follow all the customs that their elders have taught them.Including,my family is a Chinese people.Every Chinese New Year I spend my time with my family.In this day people like to pay respect to god.The things what we should pay for,traditional food is a symbol of prosperity, good luck, health and long life for everyone at the table. Each and every food, either by its appearance of its name, symbolizes age old Chinese beliefs. Traditional Chinese New Year Food like dumplings, spring Rolls, chicken or may be a whole fish wishes good things for the coming year. Given below are some of the Traditional Chinese New Year.Further many fruits too.Moreover,we have a fireworks too.I think it is a beautiful thing in this day and we have a Dragon Parade."TA-LOONG-TOONG-CHAIR"it is the sound of Dragon parade when we begin the celebration.Another belief is that the exploding noise of the fireworks will scare away all evil and misfortunes, preventing them from coming into the New Year. In the Chinese New Year Parade, it is customary to throw fireworks at the feet of the dragon in the parade to keep them awake for the celebration. Around the dragon dance in the parade, lots and lots of fireworks are set off to they drive away the evil spirits.Chinese people demonstrative to have many children for their family because they believe that childs will help and take care their parents when they will elders too.Mostly,in this day I should go to visit my grandparents , aunts , and uncle.Then they give me a gift.Actually,I called it "AUNG-PAO"the red wallet of money.Each year I haven't had AUNG-PAO in the same figure, but this year I wish for that I have a lot.....
